Sauleda Maerlin is the 100% mass-dyed acrylic fabric whose finish reduces marks caused by folds during the making or folding of the fabric. It is a more waterproof fabric, has a more pleasant touch and reduces marks (writing effect). It has a weight of 330 gr/m2 and a water column of 1,000 mm, it is one of the premium fabrics in the Nautic collection.

Tissue
100% mass-dyed acrylic fabric. Color pigments are infused into the core of each yarn used to weave a Sauleda fabric. This is what makes Sauleda fabrics have unmatched color fastness and fade resistance, making the colors shine and stay bright for a longer period compared to surface-dyed fabrics.

MAINTENANCE OF THE NAUTICAL FABRIC

Easy to clean
The more we take care of the fabric, the longer we can enjoy it.

Our basic tips:

  • Regularly remove dirt by brushing or gently vacuuming the tarpaulin.
  • Clean regularly with a stream of water at medium pressure.
  • Sporadically use a solution of water (maximum temperature 30ºC) and neutral soap.
  • Never apply heat sources. No hot water or high-pressure cleaners
  • Apply to the canvas and then rinse with plenty of water.
  • Allow the tarpaulin to dry completely in the open air.
  • Do not use abrasive solvents or detergents.

SAULEDA MASACRIL, DUO AND PORT FABRIC WARRANTY: A 5-YEAR WARRANTY

At Sauleda we have tested the durability of the fabric and we want to share our experience. After many years, the checks and tests carried out in prestigious

Laboratories show that Sauleda tarpaulins have a life longer than the years offered by the warranty. For your peace of mind, however, we offer you up to ten years of warranty in case of normal exposure to the sun and atmospheric agents.

What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers abnormal deterioration of the fibre and colour of the fabric and starts from the date of installation of the awning.

Since when does it start counting?
The warranty starts from the date of installation.

Which document is important to keep?
In order to be eligible for the warranty, the installer’s invoice must be kept.

What does the warranty replace?
The guarantee covers only the replacement of the fabric necessary to restore the fabric, without considering other concepts.

Any other element of the awning other than the fabric manufactured by Sauleda, S.A. such as the system of fittings, mechanisms, pendants, structures, etc. The installation of the awning, its manufacture and production, installation and maintenance. Tissue deterioration caused by aging and normal use. Damage caused by incorrect installation or inadequate maintenance (abrasive cleaning).

In particular, the following accidents, abuses or negligence are excluded from the warranty:

  • Insufficient maintenance, or use of improper products or tools.
  • Improper use of detergents, chemicals or solvents, abrasive scrapers or brushes, or other instruments that may damage the fabric.
  • Unusual weather conditions.
  • Air pollution, use of phytosanitary products, animal dirt, bird droppings.
  • Defects from the assembly itself, user handling errors.
  • Falling objects projected on the fabric, burns from cigarettes, firecrackers, flares or others, fire.
  • Placing objects on the fabric, traffic accidents, vandalism…

Sauleda, S.A. will replace the deteriorated fabric with a new fabric. Sauleda, S.A. is not responsible for the cost of dismantling the old awning or installing the new one. The guarantee is accessed once the necessary appraisals have been carried out in the following terms: During the first 5 years, Sauleda, S.A. will replace, free of charge or according to convenience, the deteriorated fabric with a new fabric, excluding all expenses, and is not responsible for the cost of dismantling the old awning or installing the new one.

Within 15 days of the observation of the deterioration, a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt must be sent to SAULEDA, S.A. – Customer Service Department – Travessera de les Corts, 102 E-08028 BARCELONA (Spain) including the purchase invoice. The fabric will then be examined by the experts and adjusters of the insurance company SAULEDA, S.A. The solution in case of replacement of the fabric or refund of the defective fabric does not imply an extension of the warranty for the replacement fabric.
